Privacy policy

Tiptoe is operated by Sourdough AI LLC. For privacy questions, email support@tiptoe.ai.

We store the account details you provide, including your email, name, timezone, and optional profile details. We use them to run your account and connect you to your partner. We store the tasks, lists, ownership cards, profile facts, gift ideas, key dates, date plans, topics, check-in responses, agreements, and appreciations you enter so the app can work.

We do not collect your device location or track your movements. You may enter a city for date ideas. We do not link bank accounts or import bank transactions.

Shared items, such as shared tasks, lists, ownership cards, and partner profile facts, are visible to both partners. Partner-private items, including gift ideas, draft topics, date votes, and pre-reveal check-in answers, are stored separately and never shown to your partner as private records.

Queuing a draft topic shares that topic. Check-in answers are copied into a shared reveal only after both partners submit. Date voting shares matches and mutual maybes. A no vote is never revealed. Gift ideas remain private to the giver.

Your data is stored on AWS in the United States. Stripe processes web payments; Apple processes App Store purchases. We never see your full card numbers. We use subscription status and billing references to manage access for both partners.

AI requests are processed through Amazon Bedrock. Inputs and outputs are not used to train models. Tiptoe does not store or log Gentle Opener inputs. Review AI suggestions before saving them. See Amazon Bedrock data practices.

The marketing site stores your theme preference in your browser. Its optional analytics integrations are currently disabled. The app uses authentication information to keep you signed in.

You can export your data in the app. Uncoupling archives the shared space, and both partners can export it. Neither partner gains access to the other person's private data through an export.

Account deletion is available in the app and deletes your private data. Deleting an account does not give your partner access to those private items. Shared-space archiving and export are separate from private-data deletion.

Where applicable, California residents can request access to, correction of, and deletion of personal information, receive a portable copy, and exercise rights without discrimination. You may use an authorized agent. We verify requests to protect your account. Email privacy@tiptoe.ai to make a request.

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. We do not use sensitive personal information beyond providing the service and permitted purposes. Learn more about California privacy rights.

Tiptoe is for adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact privacy@tiptoe.ai if a child has provided personal information.

We retain information while needed to provide the service. After deletion, limited records may remain where required for billing, security, or legal obligations. Backups expire on their retention schedule. Contact us about a deletion request or retained records.
