Sharing a life does not mean sharing every draft. Tiptoe separates shared information from partner-private records. Look at where you are adding something before you save it, especially if you are writing about a surprise or a conversation you are not ready to have.
Shared tasks, lists, ownership cards, key dates, agreements, and date plans are visible to both partners. Partner profile facts are shared too, including details you write in What I’ve learned. That section is not a private journal.
Gift ideas stay private to the giver. Draft Tiptoe List topics stay private until you queue them. Date votes are private; shared matches and mutual maybes can appear, but a no vote is never shown to your partner. Check-in answers stay private until both people submit and a shared reveal is created.
Tiptoe does not provide location sharing, activity monitoring, or read receipts. Privacy within the app does not protect an unlocked device or a shared email account.
