Notifications and quiet hours

A useful reminder leaves room for your day. Tiptoe notifications are invitations to look at something, not a running commentary on how much you have done. You can choose which kinds of updates you want in Settings.

Categories include reminders, partner activity, check-ins, dates, billing, and invitations. Turn down the categories that are not useful. Device permissions also matter: allowing a category in Tiptoe will not override a notification permission you have turned off on your phone or browser.

Quiet hours run from 9 pm to 8 am in your local timezone by default. Check your timezone if a reminder seems early or late. Non-urgent pushes are dropped during quiet hours; the underlying item still appears in the app. Tiptoe also limits visible pushes to two per person per day.

Private drafts, gift contents, and check-in answers do not belong in notification previews. Even so, shared task names may appear on a lock screen. Use your device’s preview settings if other people can see it.

If a reminder does not arrive, check Tiptoe preferences, device permissions, quiet hours, and your connection. Open Today to see what is waiting without relying on a push.
