Key dates are for the days you want to remember: birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and milestones that only make sense to you two. They give those dates a home without asking you to keep everything in your head.
Add a title and the date. Choose whether it repeats every year. Use a title that will make sense in a reminder months from now, and check the year and month before saving. Key dates are shared with your partner.
You can plan reminders ahead of time, including two weeks before, three days before, and on the day. Check your notification preferences and timezone so the timing is useful. A reminder is an invitation to prepare, not a measure of how thoughtful you are.
If the occasion needs a gift, mark that while setting it up. The early reminder can point you to your own private gift ideas. The shared occasion does not make those ideas visible to your partner.
Review key dates during your weekly check-in when you need to make a plan together. A saved date does not book travel, buy a gift, or add an event to a device calendar.
